  • * Once done take them aside.
  • * In the same pan, add ginger, garlic, spring onions and cook for a min. Then add the peppers cook for another min. (We want the peppers crunchy so don’t over cook them)
  • * Next add the soy sauce, sriracha, maple, sesame oil along with salt. Cook until it comes to a quick boil.
  • * Pour the mixture over the tofu and pair it with the asparagus quinoa as I posted on my feed.

Notes

Tips for the Best Pan Fried Tofu

  • Pat the tofu dry before frying to get a crispier exterior — extra moisture keeps it from browning well.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: give the tofu pieces space so they crisp up rather than steam.
  • Adjust the heat level by increasing or decreasing the sriracha to taste.
  • Keep the peppers crisp by adding them last and cooking only briefly — this keeps the texture contrast with the soft tofu.

Serving Suggestions

This pan fried tofu veggie stir fry pairs beautifully with the garlicky asparagus quinoa from the blog for a well-rounded, protein-rich meal. It also works well over steamed rice, noodles, or on its own as a light, high-protein lunch.
